Asia e University (AeU) was established in Malaysia in 2007 with the support of the Asia Cooperation Dialogue, with a strategic focus on human capital development and widening access to higher education.
AeU describes itself as a global digital university, combining flexible learning with undergraduate, postgraduate and lifelong-learning opportunities.
Its educational approach is designed particularly for professionals and lifelong learners who need to combine study with work, family and other commitments.
Since its establishment, AeU states that it has developed a graduate community of nearly 30,000 learners from more than 80 countries.
IBSS × Asia e University
An Academic Relationship With a Long History.
The academic relationship between Asia e University and IBSS dates back to 2010, when the two institutions formally established collaboration through a Memorandum of Agreement in Kuala Lumpur.
The original agreement created a framework for international business education and established cooperation around a Dual-Award MBA.
The relationship has continued as part of the wider international academic network surrounding IBSS, with representatives of the institutions meeting again in Kuala Lumpur in 2024.

The Partnership Formalised.
Asia e University and IBSS signed a Memorandum of Agreement at the AeU campus in Kuala Lumpur on 24 March 2010.
The agreement established an exclusive collaboration to develop, market and award a Dual-Award Master of Business Administration, initially for students in Malaysia and Vietnam.

Fourteen Years Later.
Representatives of IBSS and Asia e University met again in Kuala Lumpur in 2024, fourteen years after the original academic collaboration was formalised.
The meeting reflected the continuity of a relationship that has formed part of IBSS’s wider international academic story.
